This year, 2015, marks the sesquicentennial of the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln at the hands of John Wilkes Booth. Due to the historic nature of this year’s remembrance, many organizations and institutions are planning special events and activities to mark the occasion. The following is a calendar containing some of the Lincoln assassination commemorative events planned for this year. Some events are multi-month exhibits at various museums, while others are single day speeches or activities. While most events are centered around the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area, this calendar is not confined to that region. Clicking on any event will give you more information about it.
I will continue to update this calendar as I become aware of new items of interest. If you know of any other Lincoln assassination events planned for 2015, please comment below so I can add it to the calendar.

How do I get an event posted on the Calendar?
Duke, send your event info to BoothieBarn (at) gmail (dot) com and, if it fits the bill as a Lincoln assassination event, I’ll add it to the calendar.
